| Module content | The module explores strategies, principles, methods and materials for the facilitation of creative expression in young children through play-based creative arts. The focus is placed on the methods and skills for assisting and encouraging young children to learn and express themselves through visual art, music, movement and drama. The main areas of focus include young children’s personal expression of thoughts and feelings; planning and creating creative arts learning materials, environments and experiences; assessment of young children’s creative arts activities; and cross-curricular approaches to the creative arts. |
